A Letter to the MBSA Family

Dear MBSA Players and Families -

As we prepare for the Spring/Summer season of 2023, the MBSA board members want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to all of the players, families, friends, and sponsors who have made past seasons a success and are working to make 2023 another great year.

As all of you know, the past few seasons have been challenging in many ways for all of us, but with your understanding, the dedication of our volunteers, and some great communication by our families and board members, we made it through the COVID challenges with very few issues or incidents and, most importantly, with the kids on the field.........THANK YOU.

MBSA has been in existence for many decades and has provided recreational and competitive baseball and softball to the community and thousands of players and their families.  Even though we believe the league provides a quality experience for our families, we are looking for ways to improve the product MBSA provides our players and families as well as ensure a great experience for all involved in the organization.  However, as is the case with almost all volunteer run organizations, there is more work to be done than volunteers to complete the work and we are in need of your assistance.

First, if you have ideas for improvement of the league, we want to hear them.  Do not hesitate to contact any board member to discuss your idea or send an email to [email protected] with a brief explanation of your idea and your contact information so we can follow up with you.  All ideas are welcome and encouraged.

Second, we need you to volunteer.  Our current board consists of 8 members who, like you, have jobs, active children, and other responsibilities that make completing all the tasks required to run an organization of nearly 500 players a challenge for just these dedicated volunteers.  How can you help....volunteer in whatever way you are able.  If you are interested in becoming a board member, please contact us to discuss.  If you are not ready to step up as a board member, we can still use your help.  No baseball or softball experience is necessary as we need help organizing team moms, updating our website, heading up our community involvement efforts, maintaining our social media sites, working with our local government officials, obtaining league sponsors, recordkeeping, etc.  In short, whatever your talent and willingness to help, we have a need that you can fill.

Please take a moment to consider how you can volunteer to help MBSA continue to provide recreational baseball and softball to the children of our community.  If you feel called to assist in whatever way you are able, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].  Any of our board members would be happy to talk with you about your interest in getting involved.

Thank you again for being a part of MBSA and making it such a great organization.  We look forward to seeing you all on the fields again soon.

Sincerely -
The MBSA Board
