Highlights

Sunday, June 24th: Dupage River Pony All Conference Double Header
North 3
South 2
Jake Gould from St. Joes pitched 5 strong innings throwing 4 innings of 2 hit ball & striking out 5. In a scoreless game going in to the top of the 5th inning the North scored two runs on singles by Matt Taller & Julian Ornelas around two walks & a wild pitch. In the bottom of the 5th the South scored two runs to tie on a double by Mike Malinowski, a single by Dan Beaudin. The North scored the winning run on a safety squeeze bunt scoring Julian Ornelas on a perfect bunt by Tyler Nunn. Matt Taller pitched the 6th & 7th innings giving up no hits & striking out three. For the South Joe Marco & Dan Beaudin were on the mound.

North 8, South 5
In the second game the North won by a score of 8 to 5. The North jumped out to a eartly 1 to 0 score on a double by Matt Bunetta scoring Deiondre Taylor, In the second inning the North scored 2 more runs on a double steal & a throwing error. In the third inning the North scored again on a triple by Deiondre Taylor & a single by Jonahan Allison. The North scored again in the 5th inning on singles by Terry Youmg, Cameron Cercone, & Tommy Purcell scoring Young. The South scored their first run in the 4th inning on a single by Austin Sims & scored on a pass ball. The South scored again in the 5th inning on a single by Joe Marco scoring Josh Garcia. In the top of the 6th inning the South scored two runs on singles by Mike Conway & Jose Torres to make the score 5 to 4 going into the 7th inning. Johnny Carnagio scored the tying run on double by Mike Conway. In the bottom of the 7th inning Zak Houghton singled, & Matt Bunetta walked. Then Matt Taller hit a three run homer to win the game. Taller picked up the win in both games. Jonathan Allison also had a double.

Saturday, June 23rd: DuPage River Valley Pony Conference Tournament Championship
Channahon Sports Huddle 6, Minooka Car Care Collision 0
Hard fought game by both teams that featured excellent pitching and timely hitting for Channahon. In the bottom of the first inning, John Wheaton delivered a clutch 2-out hit-run RBI single to open the scoring. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Danny Beaudin blasted a solo HR to left-center field to increase the lead 2-0. In the 3rd inning, Johnny Carnagio led off with a single. John Wheaton followed with a base hit and Carnagio then scored on a past ball at home. In the 5th inning, Channahon rallied for 3 more runs behind back to back doubles by Johnny Carnagio and Matt Brozovich to go with two consecutive past balls at home. On the mound, Johnny Carnagio battled over 7 innings for the complete game shutout limiting Minooka to four hits to go with 7Ks and 7BBs. Carnagio was backed up by strong team defensive play. For Minooka, Mike Malinowski wiht 2 hits. Jack Sasso and Jordan Missig singled. On the mound, Brad VanAsdlen (5IP) and Jack Sasso (2IP). Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season and conference tournament performance!!

Saturday, June 23rd: DuPage River Valley Pony Conference Tournament 3rd Place Game
Crest Hill Sports Huddle 5, Whiteford Paolucci 2
In the 3rd place game, Crest Hill Sports Huddle defeated Whiteford Paolucci by a score of 5 to 2. Julian Ornelas was the winning pitcher striking out 7, allowing two hits in 6 innings. Tyler Nunn pitched the 7th inning. Jonathan Allision had three hits. For Whiteford Brendan Wilczewski had a double.

Friday, June 22nd: DuPage River Valley Pony Conference Tournament Semi-Finals
In the Semi-Finals Minooka defeated Crest Hill Sports Huddle 2 to 0 & Channahon Sports Huddle defeated Whiteford Paolucci 3 to 2. Tonight at 4:30pm Whiteford Paolucci plays Crest Hill Sports Huddle for 3rd place & Minooka Car Care Collision plays Channahon Sports Huddle in Crest Hill at 7:30pm for the Tournament Championship.

Channahon Sports Huddle 3, Whiteford Paloucci 2
Well played game by both teams that featured solid pitching and strong defense. Sports Huddle rallied for 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for the comeback win. Drew Turek, Hunter Nelson and Nick Airola (RBI) led with 2 hits each. On the mound, Danny Beaudin pitched 5 strong innings allowing 4 hits, 3BB, 7Ks. Johnny Carnagio pitched the final 2 innings to secure the win. For Whiteford, Houghton, Mikel, Mahn and McGaffic singled. On the mound, Purcell was outstanding over 5 innings. Houghton and Pirc combined to pitch the final 2 innings.

Wednesday, June 20th: DuPage River Valley Pony Conference Tournament
Channahon Sports Huddle 7, Murphy Spine Sports 1
At the plate, Matt Brozovich led the attackw with 3 hits and RBI. Johnny Carnagio, Danny Beaudin added 2 hits and RBIs. John Wheaton singled with 2RBIs. Hunter Nelson (RBI), Jonny Butler, Nick Airola and Jake Bugajski singled. On the mound, Nick Airola was strong over 5 innings allowing 1 hit. Jonny Butler pitched the final two innings. For Murphy Spine Sports, Lucas Salabura led with 2 hits. Bryce Dixon singled.

Tuesday, June 19th: DuPage River Valley Pony Conference Tournament
Crest Hill Sports Huddle 2, Troy Titans Blue 1
Crest Hill was down 1 to 0 in the bottom of the 6th & Nolan Edwards scored on a pass ball. In the bottom of the 7th Jonahtan Allison scored the winning run on a infield hit by his brother Jack Allision. Julain Ornelas & Matt Taller combined to pitch for the win. Ornelas gave up two hits & one run in 4 innings & Taller gave up 2 hits & no runs in three innings. Taller made a outstanding defensive play preventing Troy from scoring a run fielding a ball deep in the hole at shortstop bare handed & threw the runner out. For Troy Dan Terrazas pitched six strong innings giving up two hits & one unearned run. Jacob Buchner made several outstanding defensive plays at Shortstop . Crest Hill plays Minooka Car Care Collision in a Tournament Semi Final game at 5:30pm Friday.

Friday, June 15th
St. Joes 5, Crest Hill Sports Huddle 1
Luke Troha went the distance (10K, 4H, 1BB), to earn the victory for St. Joe's. Michael Kelley opened the scoring for the Shockers with a big RBI triple, and Luke Phelan, Kyle Markiel and Dan Shemaitis added hits. For Crest Hill, Jonathan Allison had an RBI double, while singles came from Julian Ornelas, Jack Allison and Nolan Edwards.

Channahon Sports Huddle 8, Troy Titans Blue 4
For Sports Huddle, Jonny Butler led with two hits and 3 runs scored. Brandon Brodzinski, Nick Airola, Danny Beaudin and Johnny Carnagio added RBI singles. Jackson Shepherd, Hunter Nelson and Jake Bugajski added key hits to fuel the Sports Huddle come from behind victory. On the mound, Jackson Shepherd (2IP); Nick Airola (2IP); Johnny Carnagio (2IP) and Danny Beaudin (1IP) combined for a strong pitching performance. For Troy Titans, Jose Torres, Jake Doster led with two hits. Jacob Crabb doubled. Jake Buchner, Anthony Costa and Dave Scott singled. On the mound, Dan Terrazas (5IP) and Jake Doster (2IP).

For Sports Huddle, Matt Brozovich (double, single) and Nick Airola (2 singles)led with 2 hits and 3RBIs. John Wheaton doubled and singled with RBI. Jonny Butler added two hits. Johnny Carnagio ended the game with a 2-run HR. On the mound, Jonny Butler was stellar over 5 innings allowing 3 hits. For Murphy Spine Sports, Bryce Dixon crushed a 2-run HR in the top of 5th inning. Matt Spalding and Zac Cloughessy singled.

Crest Hill Sports Huddle 7, Minooka Car Care Collision 5
Julian Ornelas & Matt Taller combined to throw a two hitter striking out 12. Jonathan Allison had two hits. For Minooka Austin Sims homered.

Channahon Sports Huddle 10, St. Joe's 0
For Sports Huddle, Jonny Butler led with 3 hits. John Wheaton added two hits with an RBI. Johnny Carnagio tripled with an RBI. Matt Brozovich, Danny Beaudin, Nick Airola, Jackson Shepherd contributed RBIs. On the mound, Danny Beaudin (3IP) and Johnny Carnagio (3IP) were outstanding allowing 2 hits, 1BB. For St. Joe's Luke Phelan and Coyl singled. On the mound was Keigher and Chetney.

Monday, June 11th
St. Joe's Shockers 9, Whiteford Warriors Paolucci 2
Jake Gould earned the victory for St. Joe's, surrendering only two hits to Whiteford's Matt Bunetta and Ben Mahn over 5 innings. Offensively, Luke Troha doubled and singled, while Michael Kelley, Dan Shemaitis and Gould added singles.

Crest Hill Sports Huddle 12, Ingalls Park Cryer & Olson 4
Tyler Nunn & Jonathan Allison combined to throw a two hitter. Julian Ornelas had two hits & Nunn doubled. For Ingalls Juan Gonzales had two hits.

Minooka Langeland Construction 5, Channahon Spine and Sport 4
Minooka bounced back from a tough loss the day before. Closing the last 8 outs of the game and producing a walk off RBI single scoring Joseph Ambrozich was Minooka's player of the game, Alec Hartsell. John Mirabal hit a ground rule double, and Joseph Ambrozich, Aidan Polaine, and Jordan Jaakkola added a hit. Alex Roop started for Minooka pitching 5I(5K's, 3ER). Channahon had 2 hits by Josh Garcia and Matt Spalding had a single, while Garcia and Salabura pitched.

For Minooka Austin Sims Homered and Tripled. Michael Conway and Trevor Turnel doubled.
